Almost an entire year has gone by and I have finally become sick again as a result of hugging random people on the street, at music festivals, and at the Publix grocery store right down the road.  So what will I do with this sick time...update a much outdated website of course!

    Two things in the works.  One of them is a blended drink I have recently perfected made of coffee, ice, ice cream, and Bailey’s Irish Cream.  It will be consumed as soon as I complete this update.  The other is a NEW BOOK!!!  With the help of Steve Seifert I will be putting out a book of dulcimer tablature that is transcriptions of the dulcimer parts from the Aaron O’Rourke Trio cd.  Aside from my solos it will also include a very “bare bones” version of each tune that was recorded as well as insight into ensemble playing and methods of playing accompaniment.

 

 

February 13 and 14:    Central Florida Dulcimer & Autoharp Festival

 

    For anyone in the North Florida area interested in bluegrass come check this out.  Pretty much all of downtown Monticello, FL turns into a celebration of bluegrass music with multiple stages set up around the downtown area.  The Aaron O’Rourke Trio will be performing inside the Monticello Opera House on Saturday.
