Nearing the end of the gigging year...
The busiest year of my short music career so far was also the best. As it so happens, I'm coming off one of the highlights. The Black Mountain Music Festival was one to remember and definitely one to return to in 2018. I only have one dulcimer festival left this year and that is the White Springs Dulcimer Retreat in White Springs, FL November 10-12.
In other news, I've been cranking out content on my Patreon page. I've made some big changes to my Patreon campaign recently. Pledges are now on a monthly basis and I've added some new rewards. One of those new rewards is a monthly live hangout and Q&A for patrons pledging $7 or more. The next one is coming up next week on Wednesday, November 8 at 8:00pm EST. I recently had the privilege to shoot more video for dulcimerschool.com with my good friend Stephen Seifert. We nerded out for a solid 45 minutes on why we play with the dulcimer tilted up. In addition, he shot a bunch of new content and I'll be going into the studio to record video early next week. My focus will be teaching a collection improvisational licks on mountain dulcimer which you can insert on the fly in tunes you already know. Check out https://learn.dulcimerschool.com/
